Kathryn Krickstein Pressel Mammovan
Created in partnership with Boca Raton Regional Hospital, The KKP Mammovan is a mobile mammography vehicle providing digital, 3-D state of the art mammography access to women all over South Florida. Since it’s inception, the mammovan has provided over 18,000 mammograms and diagnosed 60 women with breast cancer. Our goal is to provide mammograms to women in a comfortable, convenient, non-intimidating way and to make sure everyone has access to screenings, including community outreach. Our goal is to put a second van on the streets of South Florida this year, so keep your eyes on the road for the newest addition to our services.
Morgan Pressel Center for Cancer Genetics
Also in partnership with Boca Raton Regional Hospital, the Morgan Pressel Center for Cancer Genetics is spearheaded by our fearless leader Dr. Louise Morrell. At the center, we can help identify if you have an inherited risk for developing over 40 different types of cancers through expert genetic testing and counseling. We also work to further genetic testing research through our involvement with the City of Hope Clinical Cancer Genomics Community Research Network.
MedStar Women's Health Nurse Navigator
Working with MedStar Health, we have created a Women’s Nurse Navigator program focused on reducing health disparities by improving access to timely breast cancer screening, diagnosis, and treatment. Our goal is to reach the vulnerable and underserved population in and around Washington, DC, and to directly impact screening rates for mammograms, ensure more timely follow ups, and help women through cancer navigation support following a breast cancer diagnosis.
